Dr. Christopher Altieri
Areas of Specialization: Political Philosophy

A Roman Catholic layman, Professor Alitieri is founding Associate of the Benedict XVI Centre for Religion and Society at St. Mary's University in Twickenham. He has taught comparative religion at the crossroads of political theology and cultural anthropology at the IES Abroad Rome program. He is author of The Soul of a Nation: America as a Tradition of Inquiry and Nationhood (Pickwick press, 2015).

Professor Altieri holds a Doctorate and Licentiate in Philosophy from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy. He and his wife, Ester, have two children, and they reside in Rome.
